I love the churro waffles from Crystal Palace and am excited that they are now available at Caribbean Beach resort! Can I mobile order them and get an Uber to Spyglass Grill to eat there as a non Disney Resort guest or do I need a reservation?

Greetings, Katherine! Please allow me to wish you a welcome to planDisney that's warmer than the cinnamon on those infamous Mickey-shaped churro waffles you and I both crave.

I first had those delicious Mickey-shaped churro waffles on board a Disney Cruise Line ship. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them, and to this day, they are still the best things I've ever eaten at Disney. I do my best to not miss an opportunity to enjoy them. I was thrilled when they added this cinnamon-pixie-dusted delight to the breakfast buffet at The Crystal Palace because that meant I could get it at sea AND on land! Then, when I recently learned they were available at Spyglass Grill at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, well, I may or may not have added a short stay at Caribbean Beach to my cart just to satisfy my craving without a dining or cruise reservation.

While yes, it's true that Guests can now enjoy these morsels of Mickey magic without a dining reservation, getting there can be a bit tricky. Access to the resort by car is restricted, at Disney's discretion, to Guests with hotel, experience or dining reservations, which doesn't include Quick-Service locations. This means if you were to arrive via Uber without a reservation, you could be turned away, and a mobile order isn't considered a reservation.

I know this wasn't the answer you were hoping for, yet maybe this is your sign to think about booking a stay there. After all, Caribbean Beach has so much more to offer than Mickey-shaped churro waffles, as awesome as they are. With its Caribbean island vibes and calypso flair, it's highly immersive making it almost like two vacations in one. It's also home to what I would consider the most underrated restaurant in all of Walt Disney World, Sebastian's Bistro. The Caribbean-inspired menu is served family-style, all you care to enjoy. Dessert is pineapple coconut bread pudding that rivals its much more famous cousin found at 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Plus, since it's located on the Disney Skyliner route, it provides easy access to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT as well as the other Skyliner resorts.

Katherine, I hope you'll have those coveted Mickey-shaped churro waffles in your future soon. I'm crossing my fingers for you. Please visit us again with any other planning questions you have.
