Love checking the panel daily...thanks. Going on our first Dream Cruise in Sept. for husbands 40th B-day, are the mini-golf and aquaduck open when we are in Nassau?

    Hi, Marc!

Oh, I'm glad that you're finding our panel so useful -- we're here to help, and it's my job to make sure that Disney's sea-faring guests are ship-shape! That's exciting that your first cruise aboard the Disney Dream is coming up this fall, and you're celebrating your husband's 40th? I can't think of a better celebration than aboard that beautiful ship.

Most shipboard activities -- such as AquaDuck and mini-golf on Goofy's Sports Deck -- are open while in port. Our family has been fortunate in the fact that we've visited Nassau several times, and we actually opt to stay on board when the ship docks in that port now. Plus, my husband feels like we're getting good value from our cruise fare by eating lunch on board instead of in the port. (You know, there's a penny-pincher in every family!)

Yet, as the shopper in the family, I have to remind you that all the ship's gift shops are locked up tight in ports. That means that if you need supplies (like sunscreen, batteries or a hat), remember to go by and stock up while you're at sea.  Or, if you're like me, you'll have an excuse to head into the port for those needed items...and maybe pick up some other things as well. (Of course, there's a penny-spender in every family, too!)

I hope this has helped you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
