hi, I would love to celebrate my sons first b/day in disney florida but have absolutely no idea where to start. I saw expedia had some deals for the all stars movies resort,is this a good idea or should i contact dw directly. hw does d passes/tickets work

Welcome Maureen!  Celebrating your son's first birthday at Walt Disney World would be an awesome trip for you and your family!

I always suggest you head right to the source to get the best information and the latest deals and promotions so please call the Disney reservation number, 407-934-7639.  The cast members will be happy to walk your through all your choices with the different resorts and discuss the options such as adding a dining plan to your stay.

Head to the Disney website, www.disneyworld.com, before you make your call and review all the resort choices.  Many families find the dining plan add on to be very beneficial to their budget so please click HERE to review these options. The Magic Your Way packages are so convenient as they will include your lodging at one of the great resorts, dining credit options for each day, and park tickets for your stay.  It is a great way to have a vacation paid for before you go and not worry about a thing!

You will have many choices along the way and you will have to decide what your budget will want to handle.  The basic dining package to me is a great way to go as it gives you some options for table service dining.  Another decision will be whether you will want the added park hopper option for your park tickets. This allows you to visit more then one park a day whenever you want.

Your son will not need a park ticket as he is under the age of three.  He will also not be included on a dining plan because of his age.

When you have all the basics planned and reservations made please don't forget to pick a special place for his birthday dinner and order a cake for him. You can do that by calling the cake hotline at 407-827-2253 or request a standard cake when you check into the restaurant that night!  What a special and magical vacation you are planning!
