Hi Emily! You brought such a great question to planDisney! While character breakfasts are available for Guests to enjoy throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, it is certainly understandable that Guests want to enjoy breakfast in other ways too. I have a great recommendation! I recently had the chance to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge with Susan, one of my fellow planDisney panelists. We had a delicious breakfast at
Boma – Flavors of Africa!
The restaurant is themed to an African market and hosts an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet for both breakfast and dinner. I was so glad I arrived hungry for breakfast because the options ran from one side of the restaurant to the other! I appreciated that the African-themed restaurant had options appealing to both traditional and more adventurous breakfast palettes. I had never eaten at Boma – Flavors of Africa but Susan had. She shared a few recommendations that her husband enjoys, so I tried some things I normally wouldn’t eat. No regrets here! While it may be tempting to load up on your favorites, I recommend sampling smaller portions, and then returning for some of your top selections! The breakfast was amazing! I can’t wait to take my family to Boma – Flavors of Africa!
And, remember, you don’t have to be a Guest of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to enjoy the dining there! The same can be said of just about all Disney Dining restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels!
Emily, I’m also giving an “honorable mention” to the
Grand Floridian Café. While not a buffet, this is a family favorite dining location! My family finds the menu has something for everyone. We also love the more casual feel of this restaurant, while located at one of the most beautiful hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Dreams do come true!
