Hi Jennifer,
What a fun question to answer! Without a doubt, our absolute favorite restaurant is Bomas at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The food is so wonderfully delicious and unlike anything in our area not to mention to chance to visit the resort, which is treasure by itself.
We also love the theming of the Sci-Fi Dine-In at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Sitting under the "stars" in cars watching the old black and white movies is such a treat and a relaxing break from the hot Florida sun.
My boys also like the adventure and antics of the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. Lots and lots of barbecue with playful fun from the cast members (don't ask for ketchup!). And again, it is another treat to visit the grandness of this resort.
Our other two choices are counter service restaurants. First, is Casey's Corner for hot dogs and fries; a kid favorite! What they really enjoy is wandering to the back of the restaurant where little bleachers are set up to watch old movies of Disney characters. It is seldom crowded and a great break from the activity of the Magic Kingdom.
The other favorite is the fish and chips stop in the United Kingdom. We grab a few meals that Dad and the boys share (alas, I'm a vegetarian so I skip this) and head to the area behind the shops. There lies a charming hedge maze that the kids can run around in while my husband and I have a chance to talk and relax (hmm, a common theme for me?). Again, it is another place with little traffic.
These are just a few of the many, incredible choices at WDW!
