Hello Moms! We love Animal Kingdom's Maharajah Jungle Trek, and noticed last May that the tapir (our favorite!) was gone. After speaking with a guide, we learned that the environment needed to be adjusted. Do you know if a tapir is back for this year? :)

Hi Nancy! My most recent visit to the Animal Kingdom park was this past October. I too love the tapir and I am almost positive that we stopped to look at this great animal because it is so unique. I wasn't able to get an afirmative that it is there by calling so hopefully my memory is correct and you will find your tapir friend waiting for you when you visit soon. I missed the warthogs on the safari ride for a while as their population dwindled but was happy to see new ones in that area during my last visit as well. It is why we love going to this park...there is always something new and different from our last trip!
