    Would love to use AmEx points to purchase Disney resort hotel but from what I understand if I purchase the hotel through a third party, I cannot buy the meal plan. Is this true?

    Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is true. To be able to include the Disney Dinning Plan on your next trip, you have to do it together with your resort reservation, like a package. For Disney Dinning Plan you have to meet some of their criteria, like for example: A certain minimum amount of days at the resort of your choice and also purchase a minimum of certain days of park tickets as well. Those rules keeps constantly changing and for a better info about that the best is to talk to a Cast Member by calling Disney, he will have the latest actualizations on prices, regulations that applies and accurate answers for you.
