Love your advice. Arrive 12/8 by 5 & have carriage ride at PO for 6:30.We'd like to tour the decorations at the non-monorail resorts before/after.Which resorts do you suggest, and in what order (by car)? Also, is there a good spot for a quick dinner? T

    Hi Eloise!

Thank you for sending me this question directly.  I really appreciate it.  Also thank you for the compliment; I enjoy helping guests plan their magical Disney vacations!

The best resorts to visit in terms of holiday decorations are the Wilderness Lodge, the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Grand Floridian.  The Grand Floridian is on the Magic Kingdom monorail.  Other notable resorts are the Beach Club and the Boardwalk.  However, if you can only see three, be sure to see the first three!

The Animal Kingdom Lodge has a wonderful food court.  It's a little bit small, but the food is absolutely fantastic.  I would recommend planning your visits such that you end up there for dinner.  Thus I would visit the Animal Kingdom Lodge first, then visit Port Orleans Riverside for your carriage ride, and the visit the Wilderness Lodge.  You can spend a lot of time at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, especially if you want to view the animals!  You won't need that much time at the Wilderness Lodge.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
