I see there are a lot of 100 year celebration food items. Are any worth the $$??

    Welcome to planDisney, Lisette!

I'm so glad you stopped by with this question because as Ursula says "my dear sweet child, that's what I do. It's what I live for!"

You are correct, there are so many new food offerings at the Disneyland Resort to honor the Walt Disney Company’s 100 years of wonder that even everyone's favorite mermaid won’t know which to choose first! Ever since the Disney100 celebration launched this year, I can't help but stroll by the many food carts and restaurants throughout the resort thinking, "look at this stuff, isn't it neat?"

First of all, I love using my Disneyland Resort Mobile App's Mobile Ordering feature to speed up my snack time. The app saves me valuable hours by allowing me to place mobile orders for meals, snacks, and beverages while I’m enjoying attractions all over the parks. Also, my friend and panelist Greg L. has several tips and tricks that can help you stretch your sand dollars so that you can indulge in all the delightful treats of your dreams.

Right now my favorite lunch is the Potato & Cheddar Cheeseburger at the Hungry Bear Restaurant. It's large enough to share with a friend or a dashing prince. But I can usually devour it all myself if I bring my dinglehopper. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty and filling meal! And don't worry about the chilies if you're sensitive to spice, the special sauce is flavorful enough without a …what's the word? …burn!

Also, I was lucky enough to attend an event where I got to sample nearly all of the sweet Disney100 treats, and let me tell you, it was a real treat for the taste buds! Out of all the delicious desserts available, the one that stood out to me the most was the Mr. Banks Shortbread Tart. This delightful pastry had the perfect combination of buttery shortbread crust and a zesty citrus filling that left a refreshing aftertaste in my mouth.

But Lisette, my absolute favorite, most delectable treat on the menu is the Violet Pretzel found at the Refreshment Corner. This pastry masterpiece is not your average pretzel - it's a mouth-watering combination of flavors that will leave you singing “I want more!” The pretzel itself is soft and chewy, and is filled with a creamy, decadent cream cheese that compliments the pretzel's saltiness. It’s drizzled with a generous amount of rich and sweet salted vanilla cream and the final touch is a sprinkling of lavender sugar! So when you’re deciding which whozits, whatzits, or thingamabobs you can't live without during your next visit to the Disneyland Park, this is one indulgence you won’t regret.

So Lisette, the seaweed may be greener in someone else's lake, but I know such wonderful things will surround you during the Disney100 celebration. Swim on back and see me again with more planning questions as you prepare for your visit!

    Life is de bubbles!
