I see a lot of posts on the panel about people splitting their stay between two resorts. We are only staying 6 days/5 nights and was wondering what the advantages/disadvantages were of resort hopping? Thanks for all your help!

    Hi Irene!

This is a great question. I personally feel that resort hopping is more trouble than it is worth and there has to be a really good reason. Sometimes the really good reason is you can't afford to stay in a Deluxe Resort for your entire trip, but still want to give it a try. Sometimes it is done because Free Dining or some other special offer starts mid-way through a trip and thus you have to have two reservations.

If you decide to do it, you should know that Bell Services can get your luggage from one Disney resort to another; just know that it can take several hours. If you do try it, also stay in a lower class resort for the beginning of your trip and then switch to another resort of the same class or higher. It can be hard to go from the Polynesian Resort to an All Star Resort.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
