Hi Alicia,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm excited to hear that you're dreaming about a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth and becoming a
Magic Key holder! There's no better way to enjoy an entire year of magic and fun!
As you're checking out the
access calendar, you'll see that you can select the level of Magic Key at the top of the page to view its corresponding blockout dates and availability calendar. If you see a slash, that date is blocked out for that particular level. If you see a circle with a slash, that means that the date is not blocked out, but no longer has any available reservations remaining. (If you have your heart set on that date, keep looking! It's possible that Guests' plans will change and something will open up!) If you see a pink or blue park icon, that means that date is available for the corresponding park(s) as a starting park. If the date is blank, it simply means that that date is not open quite yet. Theme park reservations are available on a rolling 90-day basis, so without a slash, that date
will be available and not blocked out, but it's just not available to book yet.
If you're looking to soak up some
holiday magic on December 22nd, you'll see that the Dream Key is the only level of Magic Key pass that is not blocked out on that date. Of course, if you have a different Magic Key level, you could either upgrade your pass to the Dream Key level or simply buy a standard
ticket for that date when your pass is unavailable. Just like Cinderella said, "If you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish will come true."
Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Alicia, and please feel free to swing by again with any other questions you may have. I'm sending pixie dust that all your plans come together perfectly and you have a truly magical visit (and hopefully year!) at the Disneyland Resort!
Missy
