Hi, Luciana!
Generally, the best time to visit the Disneyland Resort on a budget is during the off-season. The on-season is when the parks are the busiest—in the summer months, the winter holiday season, and when schools are on spring break. The off-season is the rest of the year, and in my opinion the best time to go is from mid-January to early March or in the fall. Hotel prices are lower and crowds are smaller (especially on weekdays), so it’s easier to fit more magic into your vacation. There can be more attraction closures and shorter park hours during the off-season, but you’re more likely to find hotel and ticket incentives.
Now through March 11, 2013, there's a Disneyland Resort
3-Day Park Hopper Ticket promotion for $30 off the normal price. A good option for accommodations is
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel because rates there are usually the least expensive of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, and it’s just steps from the theme parks and the Downtown Disney District. When you’re trying to make the most of a shorter visit, a huge benefit of staying on-property is that you’re able to enjoy early admission to one of the parks an hour before it opens to the public. You can also enter Disney California Adventure Park through an exclusive entrance at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which makes the walk to the parks even shorter—a must when exploring with a toddler! Going back to your hotel room for a nap or a quick change of clothes is much more convenient, and you never have to leave Disney’s pixie-dusted ambiance and superior service.
Please feel free to ask me any other questions as you plan your visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth,” Luciana!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
