I lost my state issued ID but I have a reservation on the 20th to go to Disneyland with a bunch of my friends. Can I just used my passport instead?

    Oh dear, Princess Julia!

Just like Cinderella, I understand how you must be feeling right now after losing your state-issued ID so close to your trip to the Disneyland Resort. It can be quite nerve-wracking to think about being denied entry into the park without proper identification. However, it's great that you have your passport as a backup option.

Julia, you don't need to show any form of ID to enter the park or purchase a regular admission ticket. However, if you're using a Southern California Resident ticket, you will need to provide proof of residency.

So, what's the difference between a regular admission ticket and a SoCal Resident ticket? The Southern California Resident ticket offer is a special 3-day deal that's only available to California and Baja California residents living in zip codes 90000-93599. The tickets are significantly cheaper than regular admission tickets but can only be used on weekdays and must all be used by May 25, 2023. In order to purchase a SoCal Resident ticket, you will need to show proof of residency, such as a valid California driver's license or original passport.

And Julia, since a passport is one of the most reliable forms of identification you can use to prove your age, having your passport with you will allow you to enjoy all the amazing drinks and cocktails that the park has to offer without any issues. Having your passport on hand will ensure that you're in compliance with Disneyland's alcohol policy, so get ready to enjoy all the fantastic drinks available at the resort!

Before you go, I wanted to make sure you know about the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, Julia. It’s an experience fit for royalty! With its unique and delicious food offerings, it's almost like attending a royal ball. If you're a fan of sweets, make sure to try the Mickey Mouse-shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS. It's a unique and delicious treat that's sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Not only does this festival offer tasty treats, but it also features a variety of entertainment and activities, making it a truly magical experience that is only available until April 25th.
I hope this information eases your worries and allows you to enjoy your trip with your friends to the fullest. You're all going to have an amazing time at Disneyland, and now you can go with the peace of mind that your passport will serve as your ID if needed. I may not be your fairy godmother, but I hope you have any further questions, you’ll feel free to come back and ask!

Have a magical trip, Cinder…I mean, Julia!
