Hi I lost my son in the USM he was not marry I'm entitle to his military discount for Disneyland ticket, I don't have a military ID. Me and my best friend are going to Disneyland she a retire military officer and have a ID. She said I should ask.

Hey there, Cynthia! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you stopped by! Before we get to your question, please let me share our condolences with you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am excited to hear you will be going on a friend trip to Disneyland this summer! I think the easiest way to take advantage of the Disney Military Promotional Ticket offer would be for your friend to purchase the tickets if she is retired active duty. She would be able to get these tickets at her local military base ticket office or through the GOVX website. She would be able to purchase a ticket for both herself and you to use. She would just need to show her ID at the ticket turnstile the first time you both use the tickets. These tickets are an excellent deal for a multi-day visit. If you are only visiting for the day, both those outlets also offer standard tickets at a slight discount as well.

An important piece of information about these tickets is that you will need to upload them to a Disney account and then make theme park ticket reservations. A theme park ticket and reservation are required for entry into the parks.

Cynthia, thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out all the offerings for the 70th Celebration that will be happening during your visit!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
