Disney Gift Card. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. Well, Hakuna Matata! Luckily, when you register your Disney Gift Card online through the website, you can recover the missing funds. If applicable, Guests who have lost or had their Disney Gift Cards stolen will be able to have their funds replaced with either an eGift Card or request a transfer of the balance to a new physical Disney Gift Card. Note, your thought process was correct; since your balance cannot exceed $1,000, the physical card would need to be an empty Disney Gift Card.
First things first, you will need to report that the card has been lost or stolen by calling the Disney Gift Card services number at 1-877-650-4327. This will freeze the funds, so no one would be able to utilize the Disney Gift Card if found. After that, you will need to gather the following information about the card: the first 12 digits of the lost/stolen card and proof of purchase (if you have it). After that:
1. Go to the
Disney Gift Card Contact Us page and select “Lost/Stolen Card” from the drop-down menu.
2. Upload your receipt or proof of purchase and input your personal information.
3. In the details field, make sure to include the first 12 digits of your lost card, and if you would like to transfer it to an empty card, the first 12 digits of the new card.
4. Once you hit submit, you should receive an automated response to the provided email address and more information on when to expect the change to take effect.
