Other than The Lost City of Cibola at Coronado Springs (where I am staying), are there any other Carl Barks references that pay homage to him and his influence I can visit? Or Don Rosa? What is the likelihood of seeing Scrooge McDuck as well?

    Hello Gregg,

I have to confess that I had to do some research for you on this question (including consulting my comic-loving teenage son)!  It sounds like the best homage for Carl Banks and possibly Don Rosa, as you already identified, is the Lost City of Cibola/The Dig Site pool area.

However, I'd encourage you to visit http://coronado_springs.tripod.com; at the bottom of the homepage is an email address where you send in questions.  I'm hoping that an expert on the resort may be able to help you out further. And don't hesitate to ask cast members when you are at the resort.  I'm astounded at the all the great stories and information so many of them know and are happy to share with guests.

The only time I've seen Scrooge McDuck is over the holidays.  I'm not sure when your trip is scheduled, but you can stop by any of the parks' Guest Relations and ask a cast member to call the Character Hotline to see if Scrooge McDuck will be meeting guests.

Have a wonderful trip.  By the way, you'll want to visit Sid Cahuenga's at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  It is filled with all sorts of memorabilia.  Maybe they'll have something by Carl Banks or Don Rosa!
