    Hi Lori! My husband & I are seriously considering doing the Everest Challenge in 2014. We have two girls that would be 4 & 5 at that time. How soon do we need to register? How soon do we need to book our resort? Thanks so much!

    Hi Megan!

    The Expedition Everest Challenge is a great family race!  It involves a fun run with obstacles and a great scavenger hunt at the end.  My boys love it!

    Registration for the race should open around December of this year.  It doesn't fill up as quickly as some other races, but you will want to register within the first month or so to get the best rate.  The registration rates go up as time passes. 

    For your resort, you will want to stay at one of the host resorts for that event.  The host resorts will have buses running to and from all race weekend activities.  It's a great convenience.  The host resorts will be listed on the Disney World Travel page once the packages for next year's race are released.  Generally, this happens around the time that registration opens up for the event.
