Hi Lori, My husband and I are coming to run the W&D half in November and celebrate our anniversary. Yay! We are staying at Old Key West, which I just noticed is not a host hotel for the race. Any suggestions on how to get to and from the race? Thanks!

    Hi Tara!

Congratulations to you and your husband!  This will be a great weekend for you two!  My husband and I love coming for runDisney weekends together as a couple:)  I actually posted about it on the runDisney blog recently.

You are correct that Old Key West is not a host resort for the weekend.  Luckily, you will only need transportation to the expo for packet pick-up and then to and from the race.  In the past, when I was at a non-host resort and didn't have my own vehicle, I simply stopped by the front desk to get cab information.  I then arranged in advance to have a cab pick me up for all of the events.  The drive is short, so the cost is very minimal.  Be sure to arrange in advance for pick-up after the post-race party.  Cabs are not as easily found in the middle of the night!  I always make sure to carry the number for the cab company on me in case I need to change my pick-up time.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
