Hi Lori My daughter and I just experienced the Tinkerbell 1/2 in CA and stayed at Paradise Pier. Could you suggest a similar hotel to select for the Wine and Dine in November for our Coast to Coast? Thanks It made it perfect by walking to the start etc.

    Hi Michele!

Congratulations to you and your daughter on the Tinkerbell Half!  I am sure you guys had a great time!

The Wine and Dine is actually my favorite runDisney race, so I am excited for you both!

The races at Disney World are a little different in that the property is much more spread out than at Disneyland.  Since the Wine and Dine race actually begins at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex, there are not resorts that allow you to walk to the start.  All of the host resorts will have buses taking runners to the starting area.

However, the race ends in the Epcot parking lot, and the after-party is inside of Epcot.  For this reason, I like to stay at one of the Epcot area resorts.  (Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk Inn)  It's perfect because I can walk back to my room when I am ready to leave the party.  These are Deluxe Resorts, so they are a bit more expensive.  Buses will be running back to all host resorts after the race, so if your budget doesn't allow a Deluxe, it will still be very convenient.  The Epcot area resorts are just the most convenient for the Wine and Dine.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
