Lori--I was wondering how the character interactions happen during races. I'm doing the 10K in January--it will be my first Disney race. I'm not a fast runner and I really want to have fun and have the full Disney experience but still finish well. Thanks!

    Hi Carolyn!

The Disney characters along the course are some of my favorite things about the runDisney races!!

It's so fun to see some of your favorites along the route, and also to see some characters that aren't often  spotted at the parks.

Generally, you will find the characters stationed evenly along the race course.  There will usually be a Disney Cast Member by the characters to help runners snap photos.  This is really great for when you are in a group and want to get the whole gang in the same picture.  Most character stops have lines so you will have to decide whether you are willing to wait.  The more popular characters can have really long lines.  I always have an internal struggle on whether I am more interested in having a good time and getting lots of fun photos, or having a good race "time". So far, at Disney, the fun has always won that contest:)

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!!
