Hi Lori, I am running the full marathon in January (my first full marathon!) I was wondering, will there be transportation from the WDW swan hotel? Can I walk from there to the start?

Hi Maria!  Congratulations on choosing the 20th anniversary of the Walt Disney World marathon to be your first full!  It will be mine and my husband's first full marathon as well, so we are very excited!

I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you.  I had some mixed information about this question, so I wanted to be sure I got it correct.  I ended up talking directly to the runDisney team (and they double checked), and they said that there WILL be buses to and from the Swan and Dolphin hotels.

So, that will be the best way for you to get around on race weekend.  You wouldn't want to walk to the start because Epcot wouldn't be open to walk through.  It would be a very long walk.  You don't need that before you start the race!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
