Hi Lori, I am registered for the Princess Half Marathon in February. I am wanting to know if my husband will have to have a ticket to Epcot to cheer me on or if there is a special admission for spectators.? Thank you! Cristina

Hi Cristina!  Congratulations on your upcoming race!  The Princess half marathon is one of my favorite races.  Disney does a great job to help spectators see their loved ones on the race course.  You can visit the Disney Princess Half Marathon spectator resources page for more detailed instructions.  Your husband does not need a ticket to Epcot.  The race begins and ends in the parking lot of Epcot, so there are technically no viewing areas in that park.   There will be viewing areas leading up to and coming out of Epcot as well as different areas along the route.  My favorite place to watch is on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom (this will be around mile 5.3).  He does not need a ticket for Magic Kingdom to watch there either.  He can take the monorail system from Epcot to the Ticket and Transportation Center, then switch monorails to the Magic Kingdom.   He can then reverse all of that to get back to Epcot for the big finish!
There is also an option called "chEAR squad" that is available for purchase.  It includes priority seating areas at the finish line and in Magic Kingdom in front of the castle.  Some levels of the chEAR squad packages also include use of the race retreat tent during race hours.  A great tool is the "online spectator tool" that is on the page in the link I gave you above.  He can put in your pace and expected finish time and it will give him ideas of places to be and what time to be there.  Also, be sure to have him sign up for your runner tracking, so he can follow your progress in real-time!  Watch for runner tracking details on the runDisney website as the race gets closer.  Please feel free to send me any other questions you may have about your trip.  Race, park, or dining questions...I will be glad to answer them all for you!  Good luck with your training!
