    Hi, Lori was wondering if the run resorts are the same every year or do they change. My husband and I are running Marathon weekend in 2013. We are DVC members and I understand buses for the run go to certain resorts. Thank you.

    Hi Angelica!  The race host resorts are different for different races.  However, because of the high number of runners taking part in all of the races during marathon weekend, ALL Disney World resorts are host resorts for that race. 
    You are correct in that host resorts are the only ones that offer bus services to and from all race events during the weekend.  The buses are for runners and also spectators.  It is truly a valuable service so you don't have to be worried about transportation and fighting traffic.
    You can go ahead and reserve the resort of your choice for marathon weekend.  In the past, they have all been host resorts, and I can't imagine it changing this year. Especially since it is the 20th anniversary of the Disney World marathon, so I am sure there will be more runners than ever!  I know I will be one of them!
