Hi Lori! I am running the Goofy in January in Walt Disney World and I am so excited! I have some friends who want to cheer me on during the race in the Magic Kingdom. Do they have to have a Park Ticket to enter the Magic Kingdom to cheer for me on Main St?

    Hi Marc!

Wow! The Goofy is such an amazing challenge! Good luck to you!  I really want to do that one day, the medal is so cute!

One of my favorite parts of the races are when you run up Main Street U.S.A., toward Cinderella Castle.  Not only are you in a magical place, but there are spectators lined up all along the street cheering you on.  It's really a boost for the runners.  This is around mile 5.3 for the half and full marathons.

No one needs a ticket to enter Magic Kingdom that morning for the race.  The runners and spectators will all be cleared out before the park opens, so everyone is welcome.  I think that is definitely a perk for our friends and family.  Being in the park at dawn, before it is open to the public, is a really neat experience.  And you probably know from your races,  that runners and their fans have a unique comradery that makes race days fun for everyone.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions and have fun with Goofy!
