    Hi Lori. When will registration open for the 1/2 marathon Star wars the dark side on April 23, 2017? Who are the hosts resorts and what parks does the course run through? Is the Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot occurring at this time?

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    Registration for Star Wars Half Marathon- The Dark Side is set to open on August 9, 2016, at noon Eastern Standard Time. Dates are always subject to change, so be sure to follow runDisney on Facebook and Twitter for updates.

    For the 2016 race, ALL of the Walt Disney World Resorts were host resorts for this race weekend.  I anticipate that the 2017 race will be the same, but details are still being finalized.  You will be able to find that information on the Walt Disney World Travel page of the runDisney website.

    The 2017 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is set to be going on from March 1, 2017, until May 17, 2017.  So, you will be able to enjoy it during your race weekend.  If you haven't been to it before, it is amazing!
