Hi Lori! I've recently decided to run a 5K at Disney (I'll be a first timer) however it won't be until my familys 2013 trip, we usually travel in Feb or march. Is there a resource that shows what races are usually held and when? Thanks for your help!

Hi Danaina!  That is great that you have set a goal for yourself!  You will be amazed at how wonderful you will feel when you cross the finish line!  It is an addictive feeling.  You can go to the runDisney website to see a list of this year's races.  Next year's dates are not decided upon yet, except for marathon weekend and it will be the weekend of January 13.  The Princess Half Marathon weekend is usually the last weekend in February or the first weekend in March.  That sounds like it will fit your family's time frame.  There are 5K events at every race weekend, as well as Kid's races that are great!  They start with the diaper dash and go all the way up to the Mickey Mile!  My boys have taken part in those and now they run the Family Fun 5K's with me!  If you are looking for a training program, Jeff Galloway is Disney's official trainer.  His website is www.jeffgalloway.com.  The official dates for the Princess half weekend should be posted sometime in March or April.  Feel free to get back with me on here if you have any other questions!!
