Hi Lori, What ratio run/walk are you planning to do for the upcoming Disney half you are planning to do.....just curious. I am planning the Tinkerbell and Princess but am struggling with an unplanned injury. May contemplate doing Galloway's run/walk also.

    Hi Nicole!

I LOVE the Galloway method.  I cannot put into words how much it has helped me, both mentally and physically.

I change around my intervals depending on the distance of the race.  For a half marathon, I usually either do a 3 and 1 ratio, or a 4 and 1 ratio.  I am actually doing the full marathon next weekend at Disney World, and have been training with a 2 and 1 ratio since it is a lot farther than I normally go.  I have completed my training runs and felt really good after!

I am sorry to hear that you are injured.  That is the bad part about running.  I strongly believe that the run/walk plan helps to avoid injuries.  I also know that my fastest half marathon times have been while I am using the run/walk method.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know how you are doing, and let me know if you have any other questions.
