Hi Lori! One last question! My husband is doing Dopey, and our family is doing 5k/10k. We are slow! Do the dopey participants have to prove they finish under pace for the 5/10, or can my husband run with us?

    Hi Kristin!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The only requirement for Dopey Challenge participants is that they finish the race in the allotted time and don't get swept from the course.  The pace requirement is a 16-minute mile.  The official pacers will begin after the very last runner and go at that pace. Anyone who gets behind them can be swept from the course. Your husband just needs to finish all the races to earn his Dopey medal!  He can definitely join the family fun for the first two events.  That sounds like a great weekend!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.
