    Hi Lori. I am looking forward to running in the Wine and Dine Half next month. Unfortunately my running partner is injured and will no longer be able to participate in the race. Since I will be on my own, do you know if there will be pacers available?

    Hi Mark!

    Sorry it took so long for a response, but I wanted to double check before answering.

    There will not be any pacers at the Wine and Dine half marathon.  But, I don't think you should worry.  I have a group that I train with, but on race day, we generally split up and do our own thing.  You never know how you are going to feel, and it's better not to hold someone back or be held back, so we start together and then meet up again after it's over. 

    If you had some sort of watch or running app, that would help you keep track of your pace.  I like to run with my iPhone and use the Nike Running app.  It uses the phone's GPS to keep you updated on your time, distance and pace.  There are plenty of apps available though.
