Hi Lori! I'm training for my 5th Princess Half and I'm also a first-time mom. I know this is an odd question, but do you know if there is a place to privately express breastmilk before the race begins?

Hi Liz!  Wow!  It sounds to me like you are a "Perfect Princess"!!  Congratulations on being a finisher of all of the Princess Half Marathons.  This year's medal is even more beautiful than ever before!

I am trying to think of places that would give you some privacy before the race, but as you well know, there aren't many.  The porta-potties  would be about the best option, and I am sure that doesn't sound very appealing.  There is a Race Retreat tent that was available for purchase, but if you haven't already bought that, it is now sold out.

If you are just planning to express the milk and not worried about saving it, then I think you will be fine to enter the bathrooms, or even go behind them in the dark woods.  I have often had to use these woods myself, when the lines were WAY too long for the potties.

You could also try expressing just before leaving your resort to see if that would get you through the race.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
