Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You've heard correctly! The 2018 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is scheduled to go on sale February 14, 2017 (Valentine's Day gift, anyone?) at Noon Eastern Standard Time. That is earlier than in the past. I suggest checking the runDisney website for updates and also signing up for email reminders.

As of now, it is the plan for all Walt Disney World Resorts to be host resorts again for marathon weekend. Details on that will soon be found on the Walt Disney World Travel page of the runDisney website or by calling 407-WDW-IRUN (407-939-4786).

The Castaway Cay Challenge has not yet been finalized or decided upon. Details on that will also be updated on the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend registration page when/if they bring it back for 2018.
