Hi Lori...My girlfriend and I are going to Disney World for the Half and Full Marathon Jan. 10-14th. She is running with her sister. The kids are 2.5 and 5. What do you think are the best hotel options within Disney? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Adam!

The great thing about marathon weekend is that ALL of the Disney Resorts are considered host resorts.  This means they will all have buses running to and from all race weekend events.

So, you can choose a Disney Resort based on your budget and theme preference.  There are three levels of resorts: Value, Moderate, and Deluxe.  The new Art of Animation Resort is a Value Resort that would be a lot of fun.

The Moderates are a little bit more "plush", have more dining options at the resort, and are a bit closer to the parks.  The Deluxe Resorts offer you a little more.  They have more dining and shopping options and most of them are right beside a park offering more transportation methods.  (monorail, boats, etc.)

You should choose a budget and then price a few to find your best deal.  If you hurry, there is a special offer on resort rooms that include marathon weekend.  If you are looking to book a room for five people, here is a great link to finding rooms for larger parties at Disney World.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!!
