Hi Lori, I just finished my first 1/2 marathon at WDW this month. Since we live in Colorado I am debating going for my Coast to Coast with the 1/2 at Disnyland in September. Is it better to stay on property? Do they have transportation to start.? Thanks

Hi Katie!  Congratulations on your first half marathon!  I bet you are hooked now, right?  That's a great idea!  I am actually going for my first coast-to-coast medal this weekend by doing the Tinkerbell half marathon.  Disneyland is very different than Disney World because it is much smaller by comparison.  I do recommend staying on property, because ALL race weekend activities and events are within walking distance from Disneyland resorts.  However, they also have what are called "good neighbor" hotels that will be providing free transportation to the races and events, so if you can't stay on property, then I would at least choose one of those resorts.  Here is a link with a more thorough description of this--Disneyland marathon weekend FAQ's about transportation.  You can call 1-407-WDW-IRUN to find out about all resorts, you will get a runner's discount, and also you can get discounts on theme park tickets.  I hope this helps!  Let me know if you have any other questions!
