Hi Lori! My brother and I plan to run the half marathon in Jan. I'm new to this and already stressing. Would you please walk me through what to expect the morning of and post-race? Staying on property and will have chear squad family watching. Thanks!

Hi Christina!  You picked a great race to start off with!  RunDisney races are so much fun.  Some nerves are totally normal!
I'm glad you're staying on property.  The buses provided by Disney takes the stress out of transportation.  I like to be on one of the first buses leaving my resort.
You will be bussed to the start area.  There will be vendors there selling food and drinks.  There will be port-a-potties set up and tents where you can check in your bag. The tents are in alphabetical order, so just find the one that includes the first letter of your last name and drop your bag off there.  You will go to the same tent after the race to pick it back up.  There will be a DJ and entertainment going on.  It's a great way to get your blood flowing!  The race leaders will tell us when to start heading over to the start line.  It's a good little walk over the starting corrals.  Some people don't like that, but I actually think it's a great way to warm up your legs before the race begins.
You will line up in your designated corral.  They will start every 5-6 minutes.  Starting in waves helps eliminate a crowded course.  You will then run 13.1 miles through the most magical place on Earth!
You will finish and then proceed through the line to get your medal and a drink and snack box.  You can then stand in line to get your professional finisher photo in front of a Disney backdrop.  You can take your time recovering, and then pick up your bag back at the bag check.  Since your family will be on the chEAR squad, you can meet them at the designated areas and then GO CELEBRATE!
I hope this helps!  Disney races are known for their outstanding organization.  It will be very clear to you where you need to be and what you need to do.  And if it isn't, there are wonderful cast members standing around to answer any questions you may have!
