    Lori, my best and I are planning on running the Princess 1/2 in Feb 2013 and we are planning on staying at the Boardwalk. The reason for the Boardwalk is I am a DVC member and that is my home resort. Will this be a problem on race day?

    HI Jennifer!  The Princess half marathon is really fun!  You and your friend will have a great time!  I love the Boardwalk too.  The Epcot resort area is my favorite place to stay, because my family's favorite park is Epcot!

    Staying at the Boardwalk will be fine.  They haven't decided on host resorts for the 2013 race, but the Boardwalk was one for the 2012 resort.  It will be handy if it is again, because host resorts offer free bus transportation to and from all race weekend events.  It is a huge benefit to not have to fight traffic.

    However, if it is not a host resort, you will still be fine.  I have stayed at non-host resorts before, and as long as you plan ahead and give yourself lots of time, it's not a big deal.  I plan to get to the race at least two hours in advance when I drive there.  There isn't a lot of traffic then, and you will get a good parking spot!  I have to wait longer after the race to get out of the parking lot, but after running a half marathon, I don't mind sitting for a while!

    If I had to guess, I would imagine that Boardwalk will be a host resort again.  The race gets bigger every year and I would imagine they would only add more and more resorts to accommodate all the runners.  But either way--no worries!  You will be fine and you will have a great time!
