Hiya Amber,
Welcome back to planDisney! I’ve always said that for Florida being called the Sunshine State, it rains an awful lot (but it often only lasts a short while). My family and I are so used to rainy Florida days that we follow the cardinal rule of “always carry an umbrella.” When we visit the Most Magical Place on Earth, we always come prepared with a small umbrella/poncho, a rain shield for our daughter’s stroller, and an extra pair of socks for when the rain stops. When everyone else heads for the shelter of the gift shops, you can often find us making a beeline towards one of the attractions so we can be ready to hop on when the sun comes back out.
If you aren’t a fan of the rain or the forecast calls for an all-day downpour, you can try to change your ticket dates. It is super easy to do using the
My Disney Experience mobile app!
1. First, open your My Disney Experience mobile app.
2. Next, select the menu (the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner).
3. Then click the tile marked “Tickets and Passes.”
4. Select “Change Tickets” and the Theme Park tickets you want to modify.
5. Choose your new dates and check out (note that your Theme Park ticket price may change due to the modification).
Amber, before you make the change, I highly encourage you to check on the
Disney Park Pass Availability for the dates you are changing to. Your current Park Pass Reservation will not automatically transfer when you change your dates, so you must ensure you still have a valid one for your new dates. Watch for the Rainy Day Cavalcade if you decide to stick it out and enjoy a rainy day at Magic Kingdom Park. This exclusive experience only comes out when there is a little drizzle, and it is always an unexpected magical surprise when we are lucky enough to catch it.
Please come back and see us if you need anything!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
