Hi Zakeisha! Welcome to planDisney.
In just a matter of days, you are arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort during
The World's Most Magical Celebration. Indulge in specialty-themed treats found in the
50th Anniversary Celebration Sips and Bites Guide. Last week, I tried the Shimmering Green Margarita from
Nomad Lounge at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. It was refreshing with a perfect amount of tartness, I highly recommend it.
Oh Boy! Let's talk about Florida weather. I always carry a small poncho with me at the theme parks, as even on days predicted to have sunny weather a shower can pop up. Conversely, some days rain is predicted and nothing falls from the sky. Before making any changes to your park days, I highly advise you to look at the
availability calendar. The next two weeks either have no parks available or very few with openings.
While your Walt Disney World
Theme Park Ticket is
nontransferable and nonrefundable, you can change the start date without penalty up until midnight Eastern Time the day before your scheduled park visit. Open the
My Disney Experience Mobile App and click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner. Select "Tickets and Passes," and locate your ticket. Choose "Change Tickets" and select a new start date. If your new date has a difference in cost, submit payment. I am advising you to immediately go back to the
Disney Park Pass Reservation page and secure your new dates.
Let me make one more pitch for sticking it out, even with the possibility of rain. Some of our most fun days have been on inclement weather park days. We ducked into attractions with cover while the storm passed. By staying the course, once the storm passed many guests had left for their resorts leaving us with much lower crowds and easy access to coveted attractions. At
Magic Kingdom Park, you have the rare chance to see The Rainy Day Calvacade Parade. Personally, it is a favorite of mine.
Keeping it Magical,
Cindy
