Looks like we are going to get to be part of the new MagicBand promotion during our stay in Oct at POP..Disney site says they are sending a magicband to my DD2, but can't select any fastpasses for her since she is under 3. Problem? Bracelet Just for show?

    Hi Shanna,

Congratulations on being among the lucky ones to be chosen to test the new Magic Bands! This program is still in the testing phase, so this is pretty exciting that you'll be getting to try it out. Keep in mind that because of this testing phase, policies and procedures could change without notice.

It is my understanding that since the Magic Bands are just like a park admission, it wouldn't be necessary for those kids that are under three. However, I'm glad to hear that they are including one for your daughter so she can feel just as special with her own Magic Band. I'm sure the reason you aren't able to select a FastPass + time for her is that she "technically" doesn't need one since she doesn't require admission. She will still be able to go on any ride that she is tall enough for. This includes rides that the rest of the party has FastPasses for. Even though my family didn't have the Magic Bands this past June, my son was 2 at the time and therefore didn't need park admission. When we rode rides like Peter Pan's Flight and had FastPasses for the rest of us, he was absolutely allowed with us as it was understood that he didn't have park admission to get a FastPass. I hope this make sense. So, yes, to answer your question, the Magic Band for her would be just "for show" and to make her feel just as special as the rest of you.

Have a magical time. Your trip will be here before you can say "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"
