It looks like disney hotels are requiring minimum stays to book in January. When searching 3 nights it shows no availibility, but if I add the 4th night, suddenly hotels have availibility. If I book for longer than I can stay will they refund unused nights

    Hello Katie,

Thanks for coming to see us here at planDisney! It's great to see you're planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Starting off the New Year with a visit to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" is always such a fun plan!

Hopefully by now, Katie, you've been able to find and book your pixie-dust perfect accommodations for your stay. I always recommend beginning with the Disney Resorts Collection. You could also consider expanding your search with the "Explore More Great Accommodations" features to look at the group of convenient area hotels beyond the Disney Resorts Collection.

Out of curiosity, as I'm not aware of any minimum stay requirements of the type you mention for next month, I did take a quick look at the "Explore Resort Hotels" online booking tools. I did see some availability for the dates and number of nights you mention, though I think it's clearly a super popular time to visit. You could, of course, be seeing some different results based on the specifics of your travel party.

Hopefully you'll find accommodations that are a good fit for your travel plans. It's helpful to know that the vacation package refunds policy typically doesn't allow for refunds for early departure of your hotel reservation. You can review the specific terms and conditions of your booking before you complete the booking.

If you'd like assistance with booking your reservation, you can reach out to a friendly Cast Member using the online chat service. You could also call the Walt Disney World Resort at (407)-934-7639 to speak with a Cast Member who can provide help with booking your stay.

Katie, here's wishing you a fun and wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
