It’s looks like current tickets need to be send by Dec 2019. When will the expiration change to 2020? We want to purchase tickets in February 2019 for a January 2020 trip.

    Hi Alyssa,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for sending your question to us. Your 2020 Walt Disney World Vacation will be here before you know it, and I just love that you’re getting organized – with a spoonful of planning, your vacation will be practically perfect in every way!

You’re right that current theme parks tickets have an expiration date of December 31, 2019. I checked with a Cast Member to see if they have any information as to when tickets with later expiration dates will be released, and she told me that, while they don’t have that date just yet, her advice is to keep checking Disney’s Theme Park Tickets website

I can tell you that ticket price increases were announced in February 2017 and February 2018, so my advice is to take a look at ticket prices in January 2019 to see if the expiration date has changed, and then keep checking periodically though the late winter and into early spring. You can also contact a Cast Member at (407) 939-1289 with any questions that pop up as you plan and dream about 2020.

Have so much fun making those plans, Alyssa! I love following the Disney Parks Blog for news and updates about all the fun attractions, events, and treats around Walt Disney World. Please come back and visit us here on the panel if you need any further assistance.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
