Hi, It looks like the California Grill Lounge menu has changed, and short rib wontons are no longer available. I know it sounds silly, but my husband and I would plan vacations around them! I am so disappointed! Do you think they might return? Amy

    Hiya, Amy! Welcome to planDisney!

Let me lead off by saying that this is not silly whatsoever! I’m right there with you. I also have some favorite menu items at various locations across Walt Disney World Resort that I love and would absolutely go out of my way for. I can totally relate!

To answer your question, Amy, it depends! California Grill, along with most other restaurants around the resort, will often update their menus over time. Unfortunately, this sometimes means saying goodbye to our favorites, and sometimes, discovering new ones! Previous menu items have been known to make their return after a short or long hiatus. Although you may not see them on the menu now, it does not mean that they’re gone forever. I highly recommend checking the menu periodically. You never know what you might find!

The silver lining here, in my opinion, is that this is a perfect opportunity to try something new or different. You never know, you may find something that you love just as much, if not more! I know I’m speaking to a California Grill connoisseur, but if you haven’t already, I highly recommend the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli. It’s truly delicious!

You’ll be visiting at a great time, Amy. The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is a treasure trove of delicious eats and sips. I highly recommend checking out all of the great offerings at the Global Marketplaces throughout the park during your stay. Disney Parks Blog routinely releases its Foodie Guide a few weeks before the festival. I recommend checking back in the weeks leading up to your trip to peruse the menus to see if anything catches your eye!

I hope this answers your question, Amy! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your magical vacation, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at planDisney. My fellow panelists and I are always happy to help!

    Bon appétit!
