Hiya, Lauren!
Oh boy! A visit to the Disneyland Resort with your little Mouseketeer sounds like a magical experience. Let’s talk about the steps to get there.
As you noticed, One Park Per Day tickets and
Park Hopper tickets have different sets of
theme park reservations available for them. The number of reservations is limited. So they can run out. But another thing to note is that reservation availability can fluctuate when other Guests may need to change their plans and cancel their existing reservations. This morning, as I was looking over availability for
One Park Per Day Tickets and for
Park Hopper Tickets for October 24th, I noticed both ticket types have some availability for
Disney California Adventure Park. So if that remains the case when you revisit the ticket purchase process, you may be able to enjoy both parks as you planned.
We also often hear from Guests who were able to purchase One Park Per Day tickets and make a park reservation linked to it, but who would also like to visit both parks. Upgrading tickets to Park Hoppers is possible by visiting the main entrance ticket booths during your visit. If there is still availability in the other park, you may be able to take that path to enjoy all that the Disneyland Resort has to offer. If for some reason things don’t work out to park hop, I hope you won’t be too disappointed. There is a lot of magic to experience in either of the Disneyland Resort theme parks. I hope you can have an enjoyable time regardless.
Tony’s Tip: If you have already purchased One Park Per Day tickets and would like to upgrade to Park Hopper tickets, my understanding is that can only be done in person. But I have also learned from ticket booth Cast Members that they can cancel unused tickets and issue a credit back to the purchaser if they purchase new tickets as a DIY upgrade from home. For example, if you find availability for Park Hopper tickets after already having purchased One Park Per Day tickets, you may go ahead and purchase the extra tickets and sort out a refund at the ticket booths by taking both sets of unused tickets to them when you arrive at the Disneyland Resort.
I hope you and your little one have a most magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Lauren! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
