Hello, Katherine and welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you’re hEAR planning a trip with your family.
As a guest who has traveled with multiple generations I appreciate this question and like
the Cast Members commandeering the Jungle Cruise, I am happy to serve as your guide.
Katherine, since you’d like to stay in the Magic at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel I recommend booking a vacation package that allows you to bundle your resort stay and ticket package into one reservation. Since you’ll have a total of five guests and you’d like to be close to EPCOT or Magic Kingdom Park, let’s discuss some options.
Resorts close to Magic Kingdom Park, with the option to walk, use monorail or boat transportation are:
-
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
-
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
-
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
-
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Resorts close to EPCOT, with the option to walk or use boat transportation are:
-
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
-
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
-
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Resorts with quick access to
the Disney Skyliner with service to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are:
-
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
-
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
-
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
-
Disney’s Riviera Resort
Katherine, while the list above is extensive, let me offer up a few additional considerations that might help narrow your choices. Since you’ll be a party of five, you may want to consider if you want one room or two. There are also
Family Suite options at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. My family and I stayed in one of these suites when my father-in-law traveled with us. Having a second bathroom, a kitchenette and a bit more “leg room” was a huge help with five people.
Once you’ve narrowed down which resorts might best fit your family, start on
THIS PAGE and input your travel dates with the number of guests per room. You’ll see available resorts with a price per night. Once you’ve selected a resort from that screen, you’ll be taken through prompts to select tickets and secure your vacation package.
Katherine, once you’ve secured your vacation package, check out
THIS question and answer by my friend and fellow panelist, Donyell, about next steps in vacation planning.
I’ll be wishing on a star that you find the perfect Disney Resorts Collection hotel and can continue planning your Magical stay. If you have any additional questions we would be happier than Pluto with a bone to see you hEAR again at planDisney.
