Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sheena!

My apologies for the conflicting information you are finding regarding the Disney's Rider Switch service. My two mouseketeers have a wide age gap so we are frequent users of this very convenient service that allows my family to split up so we can all enjoy the magic we wish to!

I just recently visited the parks and utilized the Rider Switch service. We walked up to the Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction we wanted to use Rider Switch. The cast member then gave the first group riding a lanyard we were to exchange for a paper FastPass+ before boarding the attraction. This paper FastPass+ is good for up to three guests when returning to enjoy the attraction.

Pro-tip! Combine a pre-booked FastPass+ with Rider Switch to save even more time during your adventure filled day at the theme parks during your magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope this helps answer your question! For any additional questions or if you need any planning tops or advice, please don’t hesitate to stop by.

    Have a magical day,
