Hi!! Looking for yummiest Quick service at MK,AK,EPCOT & HS. We have picky 11 & 4 yr old. Something different from Cosmic Rays at MK...want to explore something new. Thanks!!

    Natalia:

There are many "yummy" options in each park. Many times it's not the restaurant you choose but what you order. If you can, visit the dining section under the THINGS TO DO tab at www.disneyworld.com and filter by Dining Experience choosing Counter Service under "Quick Service" for all of your options. From there, look at the menus. You'll be surprised at many options. In the meantime, here are my top picks:

    • Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ offers generous portions of dry-rubbed ribs as well as barbecue chicken. Their kids meal provides a drumstick that I feel meets the "yummy" bar and allows you not to default to chicken nuggets.
    • Epcot: Where do I start? From Tangierine Cafe's sliders and wraps to the BLT and Croque Monsieur at France's Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, I feel there's something for everyone in the Quick Service restaurants at this park. But Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion serves up salmon, drumsticks, even Mongolian Beef for its Kids Meals, again allowing you to try something besides burgers and fries. Best of all, you can bribe your kids with the offerings in its dessert case if they finish their plate.
    • Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary features a wide variety from an affordable steak with fries to delicious salads. Best of all, you can dine in air conditioning without having to fight for a seat like you do at some of the other quick service places in this park.
    • Magic Kingdom: Our family's go-to used to be Cosmic Rays, too, but I needed a break from its crowded dining room. When we found the quiet upstairs of Columbia Harbor House, we thought we'd discovered quite a secret. They offer macaroni and cheese for a kids meal while adults can order grilled salmon and couscous with delicious broccoli for a light entree that is really filling. It's become a new favorite, even over the chili-cheese fries of Casey's.

    Wishing y'all a magical--and delectable--vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
