Hello. I was looking at the website and found the military pass discount. Does the person have to be active military? My father was in World War II and is decease and I am wondering if my mom can get tickets. Thanks!!

    Hello Betsy!

First of all, we thank your father for his faithful service to our country!  He truly is a hero!  In fact, every member of your family is a hero!  Thank you for the sacrifice you all made.

All Military discounts given at Walt Disney World are only available to active and retired members of the United States Military.  Here is the explanation given at www.disneyworld.com:

This offer is for active or retired members of the U.S. military, including the National Guard, Reservists and the U.S. Coast Guard. Advance reservations required. Valid Military ID will be required upon check-in.

If your father was retired from the Military, then I would check and see if you are eligible.  The information given at  www.disneyworld.com says that a spouse can purchase these tickets as well.  I recommend calling (407) 939-7830 and talk to a Cast Member about your situation.  A Cast Member will go above and beyond to help you.

If you have other questions, please let me know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
