Looking at going to WDW in May 2018. How far in advance would you advise to start looking at package deals? There will be 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 kids ages 10 & 7. Need to find a resort for less than 2000.00 for 6 people for 7 nights.

    Hello Patricia!

I always enjoy helping fellow Coloradans plan their magical vacations! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Usually, next year's vacation packages are opened sometime in the summer before, so we should see the calendar for next year open up in the next couple of months. Once it does, I suggest keeping an eye on the Special Offers page to see what types of deals or discounts may be available for your dates. There are several options for larger travel parties including Family Suites, Cabins, and even Deluxe Villas. You can read about each of these through this Walt Disney World Resort planning page. The Family Suites at Disney's All-Star Music Resort are adorable and very affordable, but each location offers its own benefits and perks.

While you're waiting to begin planning the pixie dust, check out the brand new Pandora - The World of Avatar. There will be two new rides, a new restaurant and a whole new world to explore when you visit next year!

Thank you again for paying us a visit, Patricia! If there is anything else I am able to help you with in planning your vacation, please let me know.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Meet the Panelist: Lauren, Colorado

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
