Looking for ways to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday while at WDW.

    Welcome to planDisney, Nancy!

Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place to celebrate birthdays (and unbirthdays!). With the 50th Anniversary Celebration and the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival both happening during the time of your visit, you're all set for an enchanting time. Nancy, I love how you'd like to make your daughter's 18th birthday extra special. Here are some ideas that I'm sure will sprinkle plenty of pixie dust onto her Disney day.

Pay a visit to Guest Relations at any Theme Park and tell a Cast Member that you're celebrating the 18th birthday of a very important princess. They'll wave their magic wand and *poof* there will appear a special celebratory button for her to wear. She can wear this button throughout your trip and Cast Members and fellow Guests will know to wish her a "Happy Birthday!"

One of my top suggestions would be to order her a special Mickey Mouse celebration cake. You can pre-order it (choosing the flavor, size, and custom engraving) and have it delivered to any participating restaurant. How can you make birthday cake better? Answer: Make it a Mickey Mouse birthday cake!

What's a birthday without a birthday meal? Nancy, you'll be glad to know that there are a plethora of wonderful dining options to choose from. My personal recommendations would be California Grill, Cítricos, Jiko – The Cooking Place, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Narcoosee’s, Steakhouse 71, or Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. Since your trip is less than 60 days away, you might have trouble finding availability for these restaurants. However, our planDisney team has put together a bunch of dining recommendations for you to consider. Whatever restaurant you eat at, you might want to mention to your server that you're celebrating your daughter's 18th birthday. You never know if something magical might happen.

If you'd like to do something your princess will never forget, then have a look at the Enchanting Extras Collection. There are loads of magical experiences to choose from, such as VIP fireworks viewings, spectacular shows, and fascinating behind-the-scenes tours. On my most recent trip, my planDisney friends and I had the joy of watching the magnificent Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney. I highly recommend it!

One final suggestion would be to book a Capture Your Moment photo session at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Animal Kingdom, or Disney's Hollywood Studios. These personalized 20-minute photo sessions are a perfect way to capture the memory of your daughter's 18th birthday.

I hope that gives you lots of ideas to make your daughter's birthday a core memory day. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Nancy.

    ChEARS,
    Mike
