Clare from England Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Looking at ways to budget for spending/dining money. Considering a prepaid travel card either visa or mastercard. Are there any issues with using these cards and accepted wherever I see a visa/mastercard logo? Staying onsite from England.

    Hello Clare,

Heigh-ho!  And may I begin by wishing you a very warm welcome to planDisney!  As the current UK-based Panelist here at planDisney, I am able to fully understand your valid enquiry concerning the currently accepted payment methods at Walt Disney World Resort.

With so much to do in Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, Clare, you really are super-savvy to be considering how best to budget for your upcoming jolly holiday.  After all, it's a really nice feeling to have already pre-arranged and budgeted for any anticipated spending when visiting the most magical place on earth.

Clare, I'm happy to share that in my own experience of visiting the Sunshine State of Florida, I like to carry a mix of cash in U.S Dollars ($), a pre-paid debit card such as Revolut, or similar, plus a Visa or Mastercard credit card.  This way, I feel confident that I've fully covered myself to be able to pay for goods and services wherever I happen to be!

I also thought that you might find it useful to know that at present Guests are able to link up to 6 valid credit cards to their My Disney Experience account!  And as a magical benefit for those lucky Guests staying within a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll be able to charge purchases to your Resort room folio via your MagicBand or Key to the World Card.

Additionally, at this time Walt Disney World Resort accepts the following methods of payment

      - Visa
     - MasterCard
     - American Express
     - Discover Card
     - Diners Club Charge Card
     - JCB (Japan Credit Bureau)

Plus, Guests are able to access the convenience of Foreign Currency Exchange with Cast Members at the Lobby Concierge desk, and also will discover 24-hour ATMs across Disney property too.  However, it might be worth bearing in mind that these services might entail usage or transaction fees.

Sarah, I hope that I've been able to offer a little pixie-dusted guidance for you today.  Please don't hesitate to drop back to me anytime if you should have any additional queries or thoughts about your upcoming holiday at Walt Disney World Resort.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
