Welcome, Susan! Thank you so much for reaching out to me here at planDisney. I always love hearing from fellow U.K. residents heading over to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Now, I understand that Walt Disney World will only form part of your great adventure in Florida this summer, so let's talk through available options. First, you can buy single-day or shorter time-frame tickets while in the States to visit Walt Disney World. These tickets are only available once on U.S. soil. I recommend purchasing them online or by calling U.S. Guest Services rather than at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths (to avoid any availability disappointment).
Second, you pre-purchase a
Magic Ticket from the U.K. I know this might seem counterintuitive, as you may not be able to avail of all the days in the Parks, but you may actually find its pricing favourable. While I can't give you a specific price comparison, the Magic Ticket includes many
additional benefits, such as Park Hopper (which may help you make the most of your time), water parks, and Memory Maker, to name a few.
Third, U.K. residents can purchase the tickets available to
European residents in Euros (so international purchase fees may apply). Here the minimum purchase is two days, but again, if assessing on overall value, I feel the Magic Ticket prevails every time.
As you are driving, Susan, you may be interested to know that the is no parking charge to stay at a
Disney Resort hotel. In addition, as a Resort Guest, you will also receive complimentary parking at the Parks. Combining this with the many other benefits, such as
Early Park Entry, means staying immersed in the magic for a few days is compelling. I highly recommend
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort for its luxurious feel and its driving proximity to all the parks. If you choose to stay here, the
Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Villa del Lago is a must.
Susan, I hope this information helps you to have a memorable stay at Walt Disney World. On my first trip, I thought I would have enough Disney in a few days, but here I am, many years later, more eager than ever for more of that Disney Magic. I hope you will feel happily bowled over by the magic too! Please reach out again if I can help with anything else, Louise.
